Our Story

Founded by a team of “soccer moms” whose friendship began on the sidelines and grew into something far greater, Turn To Hope was born from the belief that every act of kindness, no matter how big or small, has the power to change a life. Brought together by our sons’ shared love of the game, we discovered that our bond ran deeper than team spirit. We each carry unique life experiences, professional skills, and heartfelt compassion.  This combination has shaped an extraordinarily driven and insightful board of directors, ready to create lasting impact and inspire others.

We’re on a mission not only to deliver moments of genuine encouragement to those facing life’s toughest challenges, but also to inspire our children and the generations that follow to believe in the power of empathy. As moms, friends, and volunteers, we understand that hope can sometimes feel out of reach. That’s why we’re committed to showing every Hope Seeker that they are seen, valued, and supported.

Together with you, we’re teaching our kids and reminding ourselves that kindness matters, kindness endures, and kindness can light the way forward.

Alicia Kline

Alicia Kline is a dedicated nonprofit leader with fifteen years of experience and a passion for community service and transformative impact. After a successful ten-year career as a medicinal chemist and forensic scientist, Alicia transitioned to the nonprofit sector, where she discovered her true calling. Her journey began with a pivotal role as Executive Director at a local homeless shelter, where she revitalized the organization, expanded its reach, and forged impactful community partnerships.  Driven by a desire to address gaps in support services, Alicia founded a thriving nonprofit program, Turn To Us in Carbon County. She led that nonprofit from 2015 to 2022. Upon her move to the Lehigh Valley, Turn To Us was merged with another larger nonprofit. Under her and her incredible board of directors, Turn To Us' impact was immeasurable. One of the most impactful programs includes Northeast PA’s first sensory gym for children with autism and special needs.

Her leadership and vision have been instrumental in creating sustainable programs for Family Promise of Carbon County, Turn To Us, LB Morris PTA, Jim Thorpe Youth Soccer, Carbon United Soccer Club, Freedom Boys Soccer, Jim Thorpe Tourism Agency, and the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce Women in Business and Young Professional Councils.

Through her Passion to Purpose Coaching business, Alicia now shares her journey, empowering women to transform passion into purposeful impact.
